A Hidden Face

Magazine in hand, our eyes keenly scanned the Larry Alcala page, excited to discover where the cartoonist had hidden his face this time.

The Man with a Hidden Face. That’s what I like to call him. He buries a caricature of his face under the scribbles and doodles of the cartoons he creates, making his face almost unnoticeable to the unobservant eye.

Searching him becomes like and automatic contest for us where the winner’s prize is the joy of spotting his face before anyone else does.
