The Problem With My Uncle

“I heard you,” my uncle told his wife. He stood up and went out to the garden.

My aunt followed my uncle to the garden. “Yes, you heard me. But the problem with you, you do not listen to me,” she told him.

Auntie was trying to make uncle quit smoking. Every time he’d light a stick of cigarette, she’d advise him to stop smoking. Uncle then would go out to the garden and smoke there.

Auntie was right. Uncle heard her minding his smoking. But he never listened to her pleas for him to quit smoking.

Smoking is a big problem. People grew up feeling it was alright to smoke. Now we know it is not. But it is very addictive. If you are over fifty the chances of you quitting are slim. So if you smoke quit now.
