Traveling with Kids

Summertime in the tropics is here once again. This calls for a celebration among kids. It means a 2-month school break and summer vacays too. It could be a trip to the beach, a visit to a new place or simply a vacation to grandma and grandpa’s hometown. Fun as it may seem but for most of the mothers out there, traveling with kids is one crucial thing to consider. No mom wants her little one getting sick during the trip or worst, getting lost in a new place. Here are some tips to consider:

  1. Bring essential lifesavers. It could be a first aid kit equipped with medicines for fever, diarrhea, ointments for burns and insect bites, pain relievers and anti-allergies.
  2. Always consider rainy days. Summer in the Philippines doesn’t always mean dry season. It could be wet summer at times. Better pack with raincoats and umbrellas for kids.
  3. When going to the beach, sunblock with SPF 15 or more should always be at hand. Let them wear wide-brimmed hats too to lessen exposure to UV rays.
  4. When visiting a new place, always orient your kids not to follow strangers and dress them with bright-colored clothes to easily spot them in crowds.
  5. ost importantly, never forget to slip a card with your contact #s,address and Hotel room # in your little one’s pocket or better hang it around her/his neck incase he/she gets lost.

Even so, all we wanted was pure FUN..and DISASTER is absolutely not welcome..

Scuba diving in Cuba

Surely, a cruise to the four corners of the Caribbean is a romantic treat. Breathing the fresh sea breeze aboard a gigantic ship like the famous titanic together with your very own “Jack”! It is one of the ideal honeymoons that a typical girl, like me, wishes to have. But sometimes, it seems too boring if you just cruise around the ocean. Honeymoons should also be adventurous because that is exactly what is ahead for couples—real life adventures. For example, if both of you really wants to have a cruise to the Caribbean, why don’t you have a “twist” and experience scuba diving in cuba! Besides, Cuba is an island nation in the Caribbean so it is still a part of the Caribbean honeymoon!

I know one online site which will help everyone who wants to know more about scuba diving in cuba. It was one of my best friends who taught me about the site because her husband and she had this scuba diving experience in Cuba after their wedding. It was just a mutual decision to spend their honeymoon there because both of them were so adventurous. They went home with a lot of memoirs and photographs from their trip. The beautiful shore and their shots under the sea makes me believe that Cuba is one of the best diving sites in the world!
