Driving an automobile isn’t just about jumping into it and starting its engine but it absolutely comes with great responsibility. Being a mom, I choose to send my daughter to school on my own rather than asking somebody to do it for me. This is because it is my duty as a parent and I am the one accountable for my daughter’s safety. I have been on wheels for almost four years now and that it has been a fact that even how careful we are, there are really reckless drivers out there ready to break the rules and worst, cause us accidents. Despite this dilemma, it is still my choice to do the right thing.

Basically, a first-time driver must learn the fundamentals of driving. One must secure a driver’s license in the first place. One needs to know the basic functions of the car he/she is about to drive. Check everything before starting the engine. First on the list are the brakes. They should be of good condition. Check your tires and be sure to have sufficient amount of air, water, oil and fuel in your car. With everything in the best of condition, you’re definitely ready to go. Be a defensive driver rather than an offensive one.

When going to the beach, sunblock with SPF 15 or more should always be at hand. Let them wear wide-brimmed hats too to lessen exposure to UV rays.
When visiting a new place, always orient your kids not to follow strangers and dress them with bright-colored clothes to easily spot them in crowds.
